What We Collect and Why

What we collect

• Contact form: name, email, organization, role, message, and optional fields you choose to fill out. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and follow up about advisory work you asked about.
• Spam protection: a hidden honeypot field and a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge on the contact form. Turnstile helps block bots; it may process limited device/browser signals as described by Cloudflare.
• Self-assessment: answers stay in your browser. The assessment code does not save or send your responses to us.
• Server / hosting logs: like most sites, our host may record standard request metadata (for example IP address, user agent, and timestamps) for security and reliability.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information for marketing.
• This site does not run a third-party analytics product (no Google Analytics or similar tracker that we installed).
• We do not collect student education records through this website. For advisory work, we avoid handling student records; when access is needed, we work under the client’s data-privacy agreement and FERPA rules (including readiness to sign a district DPA). Clients remain responsible for their own compliance under FERPA, COPPA, Tennessee student data privacy law, and related rules.

Outside services that may receive visitor data

When you use certain features, the following providers process data as needed to run that feature:

• Cloudflare — hosts this site and provides Turnstile on the contact form. Request metadata and challenge data may be processed under Cloudflare’s terms.
• Brevo — receives contact-form submissions so we can email them to [email protected].
• Calendly — if you book an intro call, Calendly collects the details you enter on their scheduling pages.
• YouTube (Google) — video embeds use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Playing a video can still involve Google/YouTube processing (for example IP address and playback data) under Google’s policies.

Site fonts (Inter and Playfair Display) are self-hosted on this domain so a normal page load does not request Google Fonts.

Cookies

We do not set marketing or analytics cookies of our own. Cloudflare and Turnstile may set strictly functional cookies or similar storage needed for security. YouTube may set cookies when you play an embedded video. Your browser controls allow you to block or clear cookies.

How long we keep form messages

We keep contact inquiries as long as needed to reply and manage a possible engagement, then delete or archive them in the ordinary course of business. Email systems (ours and Brevo’s) may retain copies according to their retention settings.
